You can find details of all benefits and allowances on the GOV.UK website. These include benefits for families, carers, jobseekers and allowances relating to disability, death, heating, housing and low income.

Where can I get help?

Money problems and advice

For free advice and guidance on the full range of benefits you may be entitled to please visit your local Citizen’s Advice or contact the Age UK Suffolk's Information and Advice Service.

There are free advice services in Suffolk for people of all ages who have a disability or long-term illness.

Benefit calculators

There are various online tools you can use to calculate what benefits you might be entitled to, such as Turn2us, MoneySavingExpert.com and the Benefits adviser on Gov.uk.

Macmillan Benefit Advice Service 

Macmillan Cancer Support  can help if you have been affected by cancer or are caring for someone with cancer. You do not necessarily have to live in Suffolk, but be attending one of the hospitals below:

  • Ipswich Hospital
  • West Suffolk Hospital and Addenbrookes Hospital
  • Addenbrookes Hospital
  • James Paget Hospital
