Worried about memory loss or dementia?

If you are worried about your own, or someone else's memory, there is plenty of help and advice available. See our Dementia and memory loss page, where you can also read about getting a Lasting Power of Attorney.

The NHS booklet  Planning for your future care tells you how you can record your wishes for your future care and treatment so that these can be taken into account if you were unable to make your own decisions at some point in the future.

Service User Voice - supporting people with mental health problems to have their voices heard

Suffolk County Council believes in supporting people with mental health problems to have their voices heard. We are committed to working closely with users of mental health services in Suffolk so that they can help to influence and design those services.

Suffolk User Forum is our dedicated user group which helps the council to gather, record and collate the experiences of mental health service users about mental health service provision in Suffolk and present the results with recommendations or commendations to service providers and commissioners.

They also inform service users of developments in mental health care, creating a better understanding of what might meet their needs more effectively.
