Go START Community Transport

GoStart provides vital, low-cost transport services to pensioners, people with disabilities, school children and voluntary and charitable groups.

GoStart  provides  accessible transport for people  who for reasons including age, poor health or living in isolation are finding they are restricted from leading a normal life.

With a fleet of five accessible vehicles, GoStart offers a wide range of transport services which allow passengers to go shopping, attend health appointments, visit friends and relatives, access educational facilities, enjoy day trips and get to work.

If you have a problem accessing  a hospital appointment at West Suffolk, Addenbrookes, Ipswich or Colchester hospital we may be able to help. All our vehicles are accessible and can carry a passenger who  needs to travel in a  wheelchair.

We are not currently running  our usual half day trips on selected Sundays for people who are isolated or lonely. We still have a small pot of funding  provided by Suffolk Foundation and the  David & Jill Simpson fund  and we will be back to run these trips as soon as we can.

  • All vehicles are accessible
  • Dial-a-ride door-to-door service
  • People carrier service for longer journeys
  • Group hire for voluntary and charitable groups
