Happy Days is a welcoming friendly group, the rooms have been specially designed for children, they are safe, warm and spacious. Although our post town is Newmarket we are actually situated much closer to Haverhill. During holiday time we have activities for children of all ages and we keep the younger ones (Preschoolers) in a different room from older, more boisterous children. However, we are flexible and often children like to mix together for games and activities. Older children often enjoy having a relaxed environment where they are treated with respect and encouraged to behave with responsibility
We are operate for 51 weeks of the year, only closing for a week at Christmas and on Public Bank Holidays. We are open from 7.30am to 6pm and can be booked at an hourly rate with options to order a hot lunch. You can always provide a packed lunch instead. We offer Breakfast, mid-morning & mid-afternoon breaks plus tea to children at no additional charge for children who are here when they are served.
*Currently, during August 2022, we are offering limited numbers of free spaces for children eligible for free school meals - via Suffolk County Council HAF scheme. This operates from Monday to Thursday each week, 8.30-3.30pm and covers lunch and breaks.*

We are close to Haverhill & Bury St Edmunds. However, we have children from a widespread area including , Cambridge, Stowmarket and Clare, as their parents work locally (eg Highpoint Prison) or are passing through to bigger towns.

We provide an environment in which all children including those with special educational needs and disabilities are supported to reach their full potential.
We have regard for the Dept.for Education (DfE) Special Educational Needs Code of Practice 2014.
We have a qualified SEND officer (Debbie Corsby, Manager) and most of our staff are Makaton trained (level 1 &2).
