Inclusive Badminton (with ActivLives and Special Olympics Suffolk)

activlives logo

This weekly session is delivered by ActivLives in partnership with Special Olympics Suffolk. The session is for adults (16+) with an intellectual (learning) disability.

There is no need to bring any rackets or shuttles, all equipment will be provided, you don't have to have played badminton before.

The sessions are structured and led by a Badminton England Licensed Coach. Our aim is to have fun, make new friends and to improve our badminton knowledge and skills. Badminton is a great sport which helps to develop fitness, hand-eye coordination, spatial and body awareness, balance and teamwork. This session offers players who are eligible, access to Special Olympics competition opportunities at local, regional and national level.

We are currently running this session in two groups. We are always happy to welcome new players - we would love to hear from you!
