Lavender Hall Kindergarten

Day nursery

Conveniently located near to the business centre, we provide excellent care for children aged between 6 weeks to 8 years of age. Lavender Hall provides a happy, caring and stimulating environment, where children are encouraged to learn through play. We are dedicated to ensuring each individual child is happy and secure and believe this encourages development at their own pace whilst having fun. We carefully motivate the children to develop their intellectual social and physical skills at their own pace. Above all, our aim is for the child to be happy for it is in these circumstances that they truly shine and flourish. For further information or to arrange a visit please phone 01206 299511.

Up to 2 Years - Snowdrops

At Lavender Hall babies are looked after in a warm, safe, relaxing and homely atmosphere, and cared for and nurtured by our specialist baby nursery nurses. They will ensure that a close relationship is developed between them, you and your baby. Correct communication enables each baby to develop with the best attention and stimulation at all times in the fully equipped baby room.

2-3 years old - Bluebells

The children are given the choice to embark on a wide range of activities with varied equipment, both structured and led by teachers, or through free play which is felt to be equally important. Each child is discreetly encouraged to gain confidence whilst learning to mix, share and play with children, although possibly a little shy away from home, they are soon having fun with the Lavender Hall gang.

3-5 years old - Sunflowers

All children at Lavender Hall are encouraged to develop their individual skills without any pressure. We provide a variety of educational facilities that include specialised arts activities such as movement, music and ballet without neglecting maths, science and the essentials of reading, using a combination of schemes. At this stage children are introduced to European languages starting with French.

Support for people with disabilities

Experience of including people with special educational needs and disabilities

Lavender Hall Kindergarten endeavours to provide a warm welcome to all our children and their families. We strive to promote an atmosphere where children can thrive in a stimulating learning environment, encouraged by our fully qualified staff team, to develop as individuals and reach their full potential. We work closely with local Primary Schools and Special Educational Needs Schools, with the aim to facilitate a smooth transition for children on to their next educational adventure. Staff members regularly attend training to expand their professional qualifications and will seek further training to be as inclusive as possible for all SEND’s.

Lavender Hall provides and supports special educational needs and ensuring they are supported.

Our dedicated SEN co-ordinator is Kim Elford / Kathryn Deex. They both hold all the operational policies which includes a broad balanced curriculum which provides the early identity of children's needs and well-being.  We liaise and signpost and work with various practitioners within and outside the nursery.  Parental involvement is adhered to when updating plans, resources and all general support.  Training is accessible to all staff and updated with the support of the Principal.  We accept all children/families with special needs at Lavender Hall.  We exercise the rights of various diets, religions, cultures and see that all the children's needs are met, this includes disabled children with SEN.
