Talitha Koum (TK)

TK is an Ipswich based charity whose mission is to reach out with love, compassion and practical support to women who are struggling with addictions. We have two operational activities:

1. Recently opened is the Hope Centre, our residential, rehabilitation centre built in a unique country setting near Ipswich. This enables women who have already been through detox to transition back into community safely and with certainty for the future through a programme of group therapy, one to one sessions, life skills training and education for themselves and their families. This is a therapeutic community programme for up to 16 weeks with relational support and living at its core. For admissions call 01473 852050 or e-mail admissions@talithakoum.org.uk

2. Alongside this, we have established three recovery support groups in Ipswich called “Women Together”. These groups are run specifically for women who have or are affected by any addiction. They are self-help drop-in support groups, therefore we don't offer clinical or professional advice but seek to support and refer on to other agencies as appropriate. They are held on Monday 10.30am - 11.30am at Whitton Baptist Church, Monday 7.45pm - 9pm at Shepherd Drive Baptist Church and Thursday 1.30pm - 2.30pm at Ipswich Community Church, Clarkson Street.
