Support for people with disabilities

Experience of including people with special educational needs and disabilities

We are welcoming inclusive school who have experience of catering for a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

On joining our school parents would be invited to meet one of the SENCOs to discuss their child's individual needs so that appropriate support could be provided.

Children would be encouraged to visit their class and meet their teacher.

Parents would be invited to attend a termly review with the SENCO to discuss their child's progress.

As a school we offer a range of intervention programmes that can be taught both in a group and tailored to individual needs.  This provision is reviewed on a termly basis.

All staff are trained in implementing the school's Read Write Inc phoincs programme which has had a positive impact on reading progress for SEN pupils.

SEN support staff are experienced in delivering gym trail, physiotherapy programmes, literacy/numeracy interventions, speech and language and nurture/ behaviour support.
