St John's Methodist Church, Sudbury

Place of worship.

Our worship takes place every Sunday at 10.30 am, and is an opportunity to share with others, praising and thanking God for all He is and does; to listen to His word and to be challenged to respond to all we have heard. 

On the second Sunday of each month the aim is to have a relaxed informal style service that will enable families to share with our regular Sunday morning family.  

We have a monthly communion service.

On Fridays between 9.30 and 11.30 am we have Tea and Tots – a group for tots aged 0-5 with parents or carers.  We have free play, messy crafts, snack time, singing and story time. 

On Friday afternoons we have Thank Goodness It’s Friday [TGIF] from 3.30 – 5.00 pm.  This group is for children aged 6+ with their parents or carers and we have themed crafts, games, table sports and refreshments.

These groups are open weekly during term time and only cost £1.00 per family per session.

On Saturdays we have Coffee and Chat from 10.30 am  -12.30 pm. We have coffee, or tea, cake, board games, jig saw puzzles and the opportunity to knit and natter.  This is a dementia-friendly group.  Once a month we also have a hobbies group and also monthly we hold a film screening.

There is no charge for our Saturday group although donations are welcome.

These meetings are held at the Methodist Church - St John’s Community Centre, York Road.
