Stroke Association (Communication Support Service)
The Stroke Association's Communication Support Service is designed to maximise, as much as possible, the communication skills lost following a stroke.
Aphasia is the communication disability that is common after a stroke. It affects people in different ways but can be a devastating condition that can alter all areas of life - from family relationships to buying a newspaper.
If you, or someone you care about has aphasia, we can work with you to establish your personal goals and needs. We provide a safe environment, peer support and practical tools to help you rebuild confidence and develop new ways of communicating.
