Young carers are children or young people who look after a member of their family when they can't do things for themselves. Sometimes the help that you give can become hard work, and you may find that it takes up more and more of your time. This can stop you from seeing your friends, make you tired at school, or not able to do the things that you want to do.
There are support groups especially for young carers. They give you a chance to meet with other people in the same situation, share experiences and social activities and take a break from your caring responsibilities. Click here for a list of young carers groups.
