The SEND Programme Board is the governance body which will ensure that the SEND reforms and objectives from the 2017-2020 SEND strategy are implemented in Suffolk.
The Board is made up of partners who are directly responsible for commissioning, delivering, and monitoring services for children and young people with SEND and their families. The voices of children and young people, and parents and carers are represented by critical friends who, as equal partners ensure that the views of children and young people, and parent/carers remain central to the plans to improve services.
The terms of reference for the SEND Programme Board outlines:
- The purpose and remit of the board.
- Membership details and what they are responsible for when it comes to services for children and young people with SEND.
- How the work of the SEND Programme Board contributes to other strategies and plans in both children’s and adult services across Suffolk.
