Accessing food in Suffolk

Please see below a map of foodbanks and affordable food projects.

There are a lot of different names for food projects in Suffolk, please see below a guide to some of the terms used:

  • Foodbank (emergency food support) - you may need a referral so please contact the Foodbank directly for support
  • Top-up shop/Pop-up shop - open to all, a small fee may need to be paid to access a selection of food intended to top-up your normal grocery shop
  • Pantry/Larder/Fridge - open to all, free to access

All projects accept donations.

Feeding your family

Healthy Start  - If you’re more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under 4, you may be entitled to get help to buy healthy food and milk.

Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) - The programme enables children and young people to access enriching and fun activities, particularly those who receive free school meals.
