Debenham Shed

Debenham Shed - Logo 1- With title.jpg

What is Debenham Shed? A place to make things by yourself, with guidance or with others. It could be in metal, cloth, wood or plastic. We have lots of tools and sourcing materials. You may want to repair or make new—the limit is your imagination. It is also for social connecting and friendship building, sharing skills and knowledge, and of course a lot of laughter. Debenham shed is open to all adults. (Note: we do not cater for children at present, nor are dogs allowed on the site because of livestock. Assistance dogs are allowed.)

We have workshop facilities for people to work on their own or community projects, to promote social inclusion, friendships, social engagement and skill sharing in a safe and enjoyable environment. A variety of woodworking and metalworking hand and power tools are available. In particular the Shed aims to improve mental health for retired men and women who would otherwise suffer from loneliness and isolation. We provide a warm, comfortable space to connect, create and converse. You are welcome to visit us and have a look around.
