Childminder
I have 3 children, 32years ,31 years and 20 years, the oldest have their own home. I have 3 grandchildren. I provide a loving home-from-home environment with plenty of fun and laughter. I have lots of toys and resources, which include diversity, also crafts and cooking are on offer. I will encourage your child to develop and learn about the world around them, whilst having fun and respecting others. I am happy to try and accommodate any special needs in every aspect of my care and have a SEND policy. I have a garden that has lots of outdoor toys including a sandpit and water play water wall, slide, double storey wooden playhouse, etc. At the back of my garden across the road there are goats and the forest/ country park and play areas are close by. Once a week I meet up with 2 other childminders so that the children get to mix with others.I have been a childminder for 25 years and also have previous experience with children when I worked for the West Suffolk Health Authority. I am continually doing courses to improve my setting and further my knowledge and understanding.

I have completed part 1 & 2 of a makaton course. I have also completed a course on challenging behaviour.Safeguarding, First aid, food hygiene, revised EYFS 2014, letters and sounds, observation and assessment, expectations of behaviour, fire safety in the home. I am CRB checked.
In my 20 years of being a childminder I have helped parents with children that have had speech, hearing, behavioural problems and aspergers.
