Nakama Dojo - Felixstowe

General Details

Nakama Dojo ('Companions club') is a non-profit making group and all instructors give their time FREE of financial gain.
The Felixstowe dojo was formed by Sensei Angelo Ragucci (7th Dan, Founder) in 2004 and soon gained recognition as a sociable dojo with very supportive members. Due to its success it has expanded to run a class in Ipswich.

Aiki Jutsu is a traditional Japanese style which is amenable to anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. The Art proves itself as very rewarding and absorbing both mentally and physically. Muscular strength takes second place in aiki jutsu. Avoiding and/or absorbing your opponent’s energy is the aim, moving in harmony with the amount of force he or she is using. While strikes (punches and kicks) may be used, these are intended as distractions to confuse your opponent, aiding the use of a throw, lock or simply ‘getting out of the way.
