469 (Lowestoft) Squadron, Air Training Corps
The Air Training Corps (ATC), also known as the Air Cadets, is a voluntary organisation for young people, between the ages of 13 and 20 years, who enjoy challenging and adventurous activities. Our activities include, Flying, Gliding, Adventure Training, Camps at RAF Stations, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and much more.
We are the Air Cadets! Our cadets are given a wealth of opportunities and get to obtain qualifications through fun and learning. We have a long history within Lowestoft and have represented the ATC with our band at the Royal Tournament three times. We regularly take part in local community events from fetes to Remembrance Pardes and welcome any one to join us. You need to be between 12 (& in Year 8) and 17 to join although can participate as a cadet until 20, where you can then become a member of staff and help run the squadron and organise activities. Its just as much fun as being a cadet!
