Castle EAST

Castle EAST is a newly commissioned Special School for pupils with Communication and Interaction (C&I) Needs from year 5 through to year 11.

The school is located in Bungay, Suffolk and is situated within spacious grounds. Prior to opening the school received a full high spec renovation which has allowed us to design a bespoke individual learning environment for pupils with communication and interaction needs.

Pupils benefit from smaller class sizes with a higher level of staff to pupil ratios. There is a range of fully equipped specialist teaching rooms with access to specialist teachers and support staff throughout the day.

The maximum capacity of the school will be 120 pupils this will be phased over a minimum of three years. There will be a maximum intake of 40 pupils in the first year, an additional intake of a further 40 pupils in the second year,  with a further 40 pupils to follow in subsequent years.

The refurbishment of an existing site (previously Bungay Middle School) has now been completed and the school is excited to announce that is is now open to its first cohort of pupils.
