Notes

The U3A in East Suffolk has more than 2000 members and 165 small interest groups which meet regularly, usually in members’ homes, to pursue a range of special interests including Reading, Poetry, Science, Family History, French, German, International and Current Affairs, Canasta, Music Appreciation and many more. Other groups more often venture out and these include the Church Crawlers, Garden Visits, Walking, Architecture and Lunch Clubs. A monthly programme of talks on a wide range of subjects also takes place in Kesgrave, Woodbridge, Saxmundham, and Felixstowe, open to all members. These meetings are very sociable and finish with  tea and biscuit time giving members the chance to establish new interest groups and make new friends. There are no entry qualifications and no exams. The annual fee is £12.50 and this secures full membership to all activities. Any new person wishing to join after March 1st will have extended membership until 30 June of the following year.
