Claire Carr Childminder (Little Treasures Childcare)
Childminder
As a "Home from Home" Outstanding Ofsted registered childminder I provide a warm and welcoming home set environment.
I have great passion for giving children of all ages high quality care by providing activities/ experiences that stimulate and support their individual learning and development at an age appropriate level for all their needs. This will be through following the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) to assist with developing children’s social, physical, intellectual, communication and emotional skills to, encouraging, enabling, engaging and motivating them to learn ( and of course have fun).
If parents wish, then the older school children can do any home work or reading they have as soon as we get home .
As well as spending time in my home, part of my weekly routine will see the children in my care take part in a varied range of local community activities including toddler groups, the library taking in story time, child minding groups and children’s indoor play centres.
One of the luxuries of being a childminder is to be able to help children learn life skills through everyday activities and to assist in this development I will take children on shopping trips and include visits to places like cafes, the post office, pet shops and supermarkets.
At various times during the year I like to take children further a field including visits to museums, the seaside, wildlife parks and swimming. This also allows the children to experience a range of transport methods including trains and buses.
My aim is to provide a safe, secure, friendly, caring, stimulating environment that is a home away from home.
