Alumah offers recovery interventions designed to empower, support and educate victims and survivors of Domestic Abuse.

Based in West Suffolk, we offer:

Freedom Programme; a 12 week programme which looks at the beliefs and tactics of the abuser and the responses of the victim.  We aim to bring awareness of these behaviours and understanding of ourselves and the abuser.

EVOLVE (SHINE); Over a period of 8 weeks, participants will engage in confidence building exercises, relaxation, and fun activities, once a week. Together we shall rediscover personal self worth and how unique we truly are, whilst working on our decision making and problem solving skills. Self confidence will be built upon as we set and achieve our own personal goals through realising our hearts desires.  Each week each participant will take something home which will serve as a reminder of that weeks session.  We can deliver for any gender.

Curve: a gender neutral programme for anyone (men, women, LGBTQ+).  The aim of this programme is to provide everyone with support and guidance, as well as the tools to deal with the effects of domestic abuse. To provide a safe, supportive, non-judgemental and inclusive environment, enabling individuals the opportunity to gain a positive perspective and response to domestic abuse and intimate partner violence issues. This will promote and help reinforce a positive future away from domestic abuse.

Escape the Trap: Similar to Freedom programme, but designed for young people, bringing awareness of good and bad relationships.

Workshops for young people: Delivered in schools or youth settings.  Two 6 week workshops, one looking at healthy relationships, the other self-esteem.  Designed for mixed gender groups.

DACTIP (domestic abuse child trauma intervention programme): for ages 7 - 11 years, designed to allow expression through play, allowing children to begin to understand their emotions within the DA family dynamic.  Delivered in schools.

Counselling: Alumah offers 18 weeks of counselling for victims of Domestic Abuse.  Each delegate is encouraged to pay a donation each week
