SENDAT Outreach
A service designed to support schools to help pupils with complex learning needs. This is a core offer paid for by the Local Authority.
The aim of the SENDAT Outreach Service is to improve outcomes for pupils with complex learning needs in mainstream schools by building capacity through facilitating training and resource development. Members of the outreach team can visit school and work with staff and students over fixed periods to develop specific skills.

Communication to schools from the Inclusion Service and SENDAT Outreach
The Psychology and Therapeutic and Specialist Education Services are currently looking at the safest and most effective ways of supporting children and young people with their return to their education settings. At this current time, visits from our services will be undertaken on an individual and needs-led basis, with the safety of children, young people, staff, and colleagues being paramount. If we can offer appropriate support to a child or young person virtually then we will do so. If however a face to face visit is needed, then we will work with education settings to undertake the necessary risk assessments to ensure everyone’s safety. Each decision will be guided by the needs of the child or young person. Please be assured we will continue to work with our education settings and our families to deliver the best support we can for our children and young people at this time. We will be constantly reviewing ways of working and keep you updated.
