Rosehill Playgroup is a friendly committee run setting rated as 'good' in our last Ofsted inspection. We are a preschool based in East Ipswich and were established in 1970.
Our opening times are 8.15am-3.30pm, each week day during term time. Rosehill Playgroup caters for children aged 2 - 4 years and is situated in close proximity to Rose Hill, Clifford Road, Murrayfield, Cliff Lane and Britannia Primary schools. We offer both fee paying and funded spaces for eligible families, including 30 hours and those in receipt of 2 year funding. Check out www.childcarechoices.gov.uk for funding availble.
We can accommodate up to 32 children per session and all staff have received relevant training enabling us to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment within which the children can learn and grow.
We are based in a church hall with an enclosed outdoor area and the use of additional open space. We offer a wide range of activities covering all the 7 areas of the EYFS including messy, sensory and role play.

Support for people with disabilities
- Experience of including people with special educational needs and disabilities
We have a qualified and experienced SendCO who attends regular training to keep updated , sharing information with the team to provide consistent high quality care to all children who attend the setting.
Children who require additional support throughout the session are given enhanced support and an Individual Education Plan. We work closely with parents and other professionals to identify specific needs of the child and use these to support their plan and development.
Resources reflect the interests and the needs of the children who attend, and where additional equipment could further the children's development the setting works towards obtaining what is needed. We adapt our learning environment to meet the needs identified.
