ActivIpswich is a sport and physical activity project with a difference. It is aimed at people who are 45 years old and above (there is no upper age limit), who are not currently taking part in regular sport but who might like to if they were offered the right sport, at the right level, in the right place at the right time!

The project is a partnership between ActivLives and Ipswich Borough Council and is funded by Sport England and the National Lottery. It began in 2014 and is funded for 3 years.

A variety of activities are offered on a weekly basis including Walking Football, New Age Kurling, Boccia, Table Tennis, Lawn Bowls and a Walking for Fitness group called 'We're Not Runners'.

The above are all offered at varying levels of intensity -  all skill and experience levels are provided for. You won't need any special kit, equipment or experience.

All of the ActivIpswich sessions and programmes are very much social activities - sport is meant to be enjoyed after all!

If you would like to find out more about what we offer, we would love to hear from you.
