As an Ofsted registered childminder, it is my aim to provide a 'home from home' experience where children feel calm, happy and stimulated. I provide high quality childcare within a warm and welcoming environment. I live in a detached house in Lowestoft, close to a few local amenities. I have a dedicated playroom, somewhere quiet for little ones to sleep and a large enclosed garden, offering free-flow outdoor play.
I have worked with young children and their families for the last 20 years as either a qualified teacher or family nanny. I am familiar with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and enjoy the responsibility of planning and preparing a variety of play based activities and experiences relevant to children's age and stage of development.
I am a qualified teacher with 18 years experience, mostly working with Early Years children. I have also worked as a nanny both in America and the UK which has given me experience with new born babies. I hold a clean drivers license, an enhanced DBS, a Food Hygiene certificate, a Paediatric First Aid certificate and of course am registered with Ofsted. As part of my teaching responsibilities, I have attended courses relating to special educational needs for example working with children on the autistic spectrum and epilepsy training.
