Point 1

General Details

Point 1 is a service for children and young people between the ages of 0-25 years who are experiencing the early signs of mental health difficulties and who are resident in Norfolk or Waveney and have a Norfolk or Waveney GP.  

Point 1 is a service delivered by Ormiston Families, in partnership with the youth charity MAP and the Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust (NSFT)

The service provides assessment, support and therapeutic interventions by skilled professionals for children and young people who are experiencing new and emerging mental health and emotional difficulties.

Interpretation and translation services can be arranged by staff, for users of the service.

 The areas served by the Point 1 service is Norfolk and Waveney.  Various venues around the county are utilized by the Point 1 service and agreed with service users when appointments are offered.

Referral and availability notes

 We accept referrals from all agencies working with children and young people including GP's and Schools.  Parents can self refer using our SPOC (Single Point of Contact) freephone number.  Young people over the 14 can refer themselves using the SPOC freephone number which is 0800 977 4077.
