Rock Paper Scissors Art Group CIC

Rock Paper Scissors is young people's arts programme, providing progressive creative workshops and inspiring after-school activities.

We want our participants to build their confidence and curiosity through creative play. We educate and empower through providing an inclusive space to tell stories through making and creating.

We love to work with schools, art galleries and specific organisations that work with children, parents and grandparents by devising bespoke and inclusive programmes of creative learning.

Notes

STUDIO

Book in for a term of weekly after school sessions, where creative learning takes place in a variety of ways. The team explore drawing, 3D structures, illustration, comic books and collaborative projects together, experimenting with different materials and processes alongside developing their own projects. We celebrate the children's work with a show at the end of each term for family and friends.

SATURDAY ART CLUB

Every first Saturday of the month, 10.30-12.30pm, Rock Paper Scissors runs a community workshop at La Tour Cafe on Ipswich Waterfront. This is a drop-in session where children can try out a new activity while parents and guardians can sit and enjoy a coffee and are welcome to join in too.

HOLIDAY HIDEOUTS

During the school holidays, we run drop-off creative activity days for primary age children at St Helens Primary School in Ipswich. Everyone gets involved in a range of different 2D and 3D projects and we often repurpose materials to encourage children to get creative and do more with less.
