I live in Kesgrave within Grange Farm with my partner Toby along with my son Jake (16) and our daughter Violet (2 years). I also have an older daughter Chloe who is a university graduate and no longer lives at home. In 2017 I returned to Childminding after a 4 year break as we now have a young daughter at home who I love to spend time with. I had previously worked as a Child Health Advisor for the local Health Visiting Team and have received Autism training, Elklan Speech and Language Support and Anaphylaxis training . I also have previous experience of working with children with Autism, Global delay and Speech Impairment and ADHD. All my certificates are available for parents to view when visiting the setting.
DBS checks have been carried out on all adults within my home which includes my 2 older children Chloe and Jake.
I have an allocated playroom along with a spacious lounge and dining room with a wide range of toys to meet different age and development stages from birth to 11. I keep an assortment of equipment appropriate for the children I care for, lots of books, toys and games. Free play is encouraged both in and outdoors along with planned activities such as arts and crafts and cooking to help provide stimulation and aid development. We regularly attend local toddler groups and enjoy outings to the beach, local parks and farms. We currently enjoy attending messy play, sing and sign and children's yoga classes on weekday mornings.
It is important to me that your child’s care mirrors that of the care they receive at home and I work closely with parents to ensure this is in place for the comfort and security of both the child and parent.
I currently have one full time pre-school space available from September 2018. I am Heath School catchment and able to offer before and after school care for Heath Primary.
Should you wish to find out more about my setting please do get in touch and I can provide you with a parent information pack via email which may interest you further.
