General Details

Lavenham Pre-school was established in 1995 from Lavenham Playgroup which started over 40 years ago. Lavenham Pre-school is a not-for-profit, committee run, registered charity, delivering quality education for Pre-school children aged 2 - 5 years. Lavenham Pre-school encourages each child to develop and flourish in a happy, supportive and secure environment, enabling them to be confident, challenged and successful and to have high self-esteem. We work in partnership with parents and local advisers to understand and provide the highest quality care for a child.

Experience of including people with special educational needs and disabilities

We provide an environment in which all children including those with special educational needs and disabilities are supported to reach their full potential. Our setting is completely accessible to all with an accessible toilet and a slope leading up to the front door.

We comply to all guidelines in the Dept.for Education (DfE) Special Educational Needs Code of Practice 2014.

We have two qualified SEND officers, Kelly Cobbold and Kati Iliffe and all of our staff are Makaton trained (levels 1-4). There are two Elklan trained staff.  All staff also attend regular training with regards to all areas of supporting children with special educational needs.
