SSAFA Suffolk Branch
SSAFA provides support to all members of the armed forces, regulars and reserves. We understand the unique demands of service life and emotional or financial support is available for people at any stage of their service, from recruits, serving members to service veterans. We work with each person to identify their needs, and then help them to access the support they need, ensuring independence and dignity is protected at all times. We access financial assistance from statutory and military benevolent funds and signpost to other charity partners who can offer much needed assistance.
SSAFA invest in volunteers, providing training and induction to prepare volunteers for their role. Training may be face to face or on line. There is access to a library of e-learning modules for continuing development. Support and guidance is available from fellow volunteers and employees.
