Social, cruising, sailing barge and coach trips plus lecture meetings held throughout the year; an events list is issued in the spring. BHYC is a non racing club for those interested in boating and sailing, especially for those living in Suffolk locally and on the north side of the Deben. High speed motor boats and personal water craft are not allowed.
BHYC was launched in May 1995, using the facilities of the former RAF yacht club at the mouth of the River Deben. The original slipway has been widened, and boat storage is available. Contact Hon. Secretary for membership details.
