Experience of including people with special educational needs and disabilities

Our school has children with a wide range of interests, abilities and aptitudes. All of our pupils are entitled to have their needs met within the nurturing and caring environment of our school.

We recognise that some of our pupils may need support that is additional to or different from what we provide for the majority of our pupils. They may require additional and targeted intervention to support and enable them to meet their full potential and access the curriculum that we offer to our pupils.

Within our school every teacher is a teacher of every child, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and it is the duty of all staff to support the pupils in our care.

We also work closely with parents and other agencies to ensure that the needs of each child are met.

On our school website you will find both our SEND Information Report and SEND Policy which outline the provision we make for our children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
