BROCHURE LOGO

Specialist Education Services has opened a supported accommodation provision for young people aged 16 and above.

Specialist Education Services has 15 years of outstanding practice in caring for and educating looked after children with complex social, emotional and mental health difficulties, firstly through Avocet House (Est. 2005) and subsequently with Turnstone House (Est. 2012).  In September 2020 we opened a residential provision in Beccles, Suffolk for young adults aged 18+ requiring a highly personalised, community based, residential provision after leaving care.

This provision, opened in June 2022, is located in close proximity to our residential accommodation, giving care leavers access to vital support to further develop their life skills and lead to independent living as they move into adulthood.

The supportive environment offers nurture, guidance and time to allow the young people to flourish, giving them opportunities to access further education, and employment and to continue the development of life skills.

The aim of the provision is to deliver high quality support, making young people feel safe and secure within their surroundings with other young people, all working towards independent living.
