PACT Parent/carer Support Group across Suffolk for those caring for children/young people with mental health issues

Coronavirus Support

Currently due to COVID-19 restrictions our local meetups have moved to Zoom meetings twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays 6-7pm (open to parents in our closed Facebook group only and password protected for safety), our telephone support is still available (07856)038799 alongside the usual email ( and text messenger services.

Please know that we are still here, supporting you, supporting your families.  Sometimes a chat with someone who understands and never judges helps to keep you going.  Please keep in touch and join in wherever you feel most comfortable

General Details

PACT is a Suffolk-wide support group for parents and families who are supporting children and young people with emotional and mental health issues whether diagnosed or otherwise.

**Due to current COVID-19 restrictions we are currently running Zoom meetups twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays 6-7pm, our phone support line is still available and as ever we offer our closed support group on Facebook which is open to parents/carers in Suffolk looking for support for their children/young people***

We are a group of friendly and experienced parents who offer support, education, training, help and advice on many areas around children's mental health.

We find we all share similar experiences, and are a non-judgemental group that recognize the need for supporting one another, usually over a coffee (face to face but currently via Zoom)

We also offer 1-1 help and support (by email, text, phone and social media), training sessions and workshops for parents, guest speakers have also included Healthwatch Suffolk & Suffolk Constabulary.

We currently meet in Stowmarket at The Mix (1st Monday every month), Lowestoft at The Carlton Public House (3rd Wednesday every month), Ipswich at the Swan & Hedgehog (3rd Monday every month) and other targeted meetups where there may be a need. **currently on hold**
