These include court and church records; legal documents; public records relating to health, taxation, shipping and public utilities; local authority and parish records; archives from societies, organisations and political parties; private business papers; photographs and the Suffolk Local Studies collections (printed books, maps, ephemera, newscuttings, oral history tapes and prints). Anyone can view the archives in the Record Office. Whenever you visit, trained and knowledgeable searchroom staff are on hand to advise both beginners and experts so ask them to help you.
