Beaconsfield House

General Details

We are currently following Covid-19 pandemic advice from the UK Government. Whilst we are unable to offer face to face support due to social distancing, we have developed a vast range of services that are available digitally via video conferencing, telephone or email. Please touch base with the relevant contact listed below for more information on what support we can continue to offer you in these trying times.

Beaconsfield House is a supported housing scheme in Lowestoft, Suffolk. The support is provided by Access Community Trust.  It is a building divided into 19 one bedroom flats and 1 shared flat for 4 residents. Staff are based on site 24 hours a day.

Beaconsfield House is semi-independent living, with cooking facilities, a separate bathroom and access to a communal laundry.

Residents at Beaconsfield House are responsible for their own utility bills including water and sewerage, electricity, council tax (if applicable), and TV licence (if applicable). The electricity/gas is on a pay as you go meter.  There is a personal service charge for Beaconsfield House. Which varies depending on the flat.

Each resident will be assigned a key worker, with whom they will be expected to meet regularly. During key work meetings, residents will create a support plan of achievable goals they want or need to meet whilst they are living in supported housing. Residents must work with staff to achieve these goals. Support covers things like benefits, bills and budgeting, household management skills and healthy living.

We also have regular house meetings where residents get to have their say on ideas for outings, fundraising, or general things that are going on at the project.
