Jane Matthews
Childminder
Traditional values in a ‘home from home’ environment.
Accredited to provide funded Early Years Education to eligible two, three and four year olds.
The children I care for can sing, dance, play, explore, make things, make mess, relax and make friends in a safe, warm and caring environment. They have fun while they grow and learn. I love the freedom of working from home because the children and I can make each day as different as we want to – or not, as the case may be.
My home is mostly open plan, light and cheery with a great variety of playthings and equipment. Doors lead out onto a covered patio area and fully enclosed nature scape style garden for children to play in and explore. Depending on the children and the time of year, we meet other childminders, take advantage of community activities and events, visit parks, farms, the seaside, zoos, woods, fields and soft play and activity centres etc.
I place emphasis on the uniqueness of each child and believe that flexibility and listening are key to children and families receiving the best.
I have over 20 years experience working with children, including raising two successful adults of my own.
I fulfil all the requirements laid down by Ofsted, Suffolk and the NCMA quality assurance schemes. I am accredited to provide government funded Early Years Education to eligible two, three and four year olds. I hold an NVQ in Early Years Care and Education and attend frequent training to ensure continued development.
I am educated to degree level.
