Ringshall School

Ringshall School

We are a village school just outside the small town of Needham Market. The spacious buildings and extensive grounds provide a bright and safe environment for the children.

Our catchment area covers the villages of Ringshall, Great Bricett, Barking, parts of Willisham and Wattisham Airbase. We believe in encouraging and supporting all children to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

Support for people with disabilities

Experience of including people with special educational needs and disabilities

At Ringshall School we ensure that all children are learner’s and are highly motivated by providing a fun, active curriculum to engage all children and meet their needs,

We are aware that not all children learn at the same rate therefore we provide support for children that may find learning more difficult. We do this by monitoring the progress of all pupils, to identify needs as they arise and to provide support as early as possible, involve parents/carers at every stage in planning to meet their child’s additional needs, differentiated planning and raise self-esteem.

All of the Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) deliver regular interventions which are planned by teachers and are designed to meet the needs of individual children. Some of our interventions include Gym Trail, Dancing Bears and Dyslexia screening. We have LSA’s who are also trained to deliver ELKLAN and Makaton for children with Speech and Language difficulties.
We also work closely with outside agencies to provide specific intervention or support to those children who require it.

Please visit our website www.ringshallschool.co.uk to view the SEN policy.

If you have concerns and would like to speak to someone then please feel free to speak to the class teacher, Head Teacher or the SENCo, Miss Homer. The schools SEN Governor is Pastor Graham Steward.

EYFS have achieved 'Every Child A Talker' (ECAT). The children's communication has greatly developed becasue of this.
