Newmarket Newstalk for the Blind

Newmarket Newstalk is a fortnightly report from The Newmarket Journal and other sources and are read by a team of readers for the benefit of those who are blind or partially sighted.

The listeners are normally registered by the Local Authority and are passed onto us as potential listeners by St Edmundsbury Newstalk who are responsible in circulating our recordings vial The Royal Mail under their free services to those who are suitably registered.

The Newmarket Newstalk organisation is run wholly by volunteers who produce and record selected items from local sources and occasionally articles or stories deemed by the editor to be suitable for its listeners. Equipment is made available to listeners by the team free of charge but donations towards its cost is acceptable as our finances are meagre and we have to pay an annual contribution to St Edmundsbury Newstalk for their considerable efforts on our behalf.

Newmarket Newstalk has been serving the community for more than twenty five years.
