Anglo Chinese Cultural Exchange is an award-winning community organisation in Suffolk.  We achieved the Working Together Award in 2013.  This is an award to recognise that ACCE has achieved outstanding outcomes through collaboration and partnership working with Suffolk County Council.

With Ten years experience of working as a charity organisation, although a relatively young organisation ACCE has played a vital role in representing and integrating the local Chinese with our local community in Suffolk. 

Award-winning community organization

ACCE won the Working Together Award by Suffolk County Council in November 2013. Recently ACCE has achieved the “Highly Commended” by the High Sheriff’s Group of the Year Award 2015 in March, in recognition and appreciation of the positive contribution we have made to our local community.  And ACCE was the winner of the Suffolk High Sheriff’s grant award in April 2016.  This is the second time we have managed to win the High Sheriff award.  Our Chinese Community and Supplementary School has met the standards required to achieve a Gold Award in the Quality Framework for Supplementary Schools in April 2016.

ACCE has been well known for its new and innovative projects and initiatives, having an Impressive track record of project planning and delivery. 

Our objectives:

To educate and inspire young and old people through their involvement in and the learning of Chinese language, arts, music, foods and community celebrations, promoting activities to foster understanding of diverse backgrounds. The ACCE provides a wide range of activities and services for people of all ages in Suffolk and beyond.

The Anglo Chinese Cultural Exchange (ACCE) was establishe in 2008 and Chinese school was established in 2010. ACCE Chinese Community and supplementary School is a recognized school in National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education (NRC), and this is the only Chinese Supplementary school in Ipswich, Suffolk. ACCE Chinese Community and Supplementary School has met the standards required to achieve a Gold Award in the Quality Framework for Supplementary Schools in April 2016.

We currently have 6 Mandarin Classes, 1 Cantonese class (for ages 5 to 18) and 1 adult class. Our Chinese School is based at University of Suffolk, Waterfront Building, 19 Neptune Quay, Ipswich IP4 1QJ. taught week end Sunday on 10.00 am to 3.30 pm. 

We can also provide Mandarin Classes, Drumming Classes, Chinese Dance classes , Lion Dance & Kung Fu classes and Healthy eating workshop for Primary and High School After-School Clubs. They could have the chance to perform at our Chinese New Year Show at the Corn Exchange after finishing the lessons.

We have school picnics and some Chinese Festival celebration parties every year.

ACCE Chinese Community and Supplementary School honoured to be awarded the Gold Award of the Quality Framework for Supplementary Education awards by the National Resource Centre for Supplementary Education in April 2016.

ACCE Chinese Community School is the only award -winning and registries Chinese school in Ipswich, Suffolk.

School adapts materials published by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council. Teaching is also complimented by textbooks imported from Hong Kong and Mainland China. Teachers also received training certificates issued by the Hanban and Confucius Institute. Also the Certificate of Achievement of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language by Ming-Ai (London) Institute.  

All of our teacher and staff have DBS Check.
