- Notes
Britain’s most easterly museum is a first class modern facility which honours the town’s rich maritime heritage. As a result of a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2010, this treasure trove was transformed and doubled in size to welcome a number of new collections. Features include a replica fish market, wheelhouse and audio visual room. Historic and much loved exhibits also return in appealing and interactive displays. Children and adults alike will enjoy a wealth of exhibits and stories from the fishing industry which created the town.
Look out for Captain Crabbe and his cat Admiral, who help to guide young visitors around the museum, highlighting interesting objects.
