RiDC (Research Institute for Disabled Consumers) is an independent disabled-led charity which researches and publishes unbiased information. It has free independent consumer guidance on products and services to enable people to live more independently.
Rica carries out specialist research: mystery shopping, usability testing including packaging, surveys, focus groups and tailored research on request. It carries out commissioned research with manufacturers, service providers, regulators and policy makers to improve products and services.
RiDC’s aim is to increase their awareness of the needs of disabled and older consumers.
RiCD consumer research panel - Spread across the UK, with a range of disabilities - D/deaf, hard of hearing, blind or partially sighted, or with mobility disabilities - and from all age groups
RiDC online guidance: e.g. personal alarms, getting a stairlift, choosing a recliner chair, digital tv, bathing and household appliances etc.
