The 'Outstanding individual house' in east Suffolk (Bettley & Pevsner, 2015) Grade 1 C16 moated hall, still a family home, is a perfect example of unspoilt late medieval architecture. According to Farrer (Old Suffolk Houses, Vol 6) the great hall and linenfold parlour, which look out onto the rose garden, are unequalled in Suffolk.
Our gardens and popular Garden Cafe are open every Wednesday from May-September 11am-4pm for a small charge of £3 per single visit or £5 for a seasonal pass allowing you free access for the rest of the summer. Children's menu and activity packs available. Great Hall open every Wednesday June, July & August. Tickets purchased at £ 2 pp from the Garden Cafe.
Guided tours of both Otley Hall and the gardens are available throughout the year, including at Christmas, for both individuals and private groups. We can offer a range of light lunches and afternoon teas to compliment your tour.
Full programme of Retreat Days March - September, for anyone who needs space, time and peace to relax and reflect. You do not need to be a Christian, or of any faith, simply someone who would benefit from taking some time for yourself away from normal daily life.
