The Chapman Centre

General Details

The IHAG-Chapman Centre, part of Ipswich Housing Action Group (IHAG) provides a Day Advice Service offering advice and support to marginalised and vulnerable people over 18 on a wide range of issues, such as welfare benefits, debt, housing, drug & alcohol and health issues. The Centre also offers services to people who are homeless and/or rough sleeping, sofa surfing or at risk of homelessness. Service users also have access to computers, shower facilities, use of phones, collection of post, lunches, clothing and food parcels at the Centre.

The Extended Day Advice Service offering meaningful activities for those clients making the journey back into social inclusion operates on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons by appointment only.   These sessions vary from 'soft' activities like playing cards, board games, painting and cooking, to other activities focussing on health, money advice, support for dealing with drug and alcohol misuse and volunteering and employability support.
