Abi's Footprints Baby Bank
Abi's Footprints Baby Bank is run by New Life Church, Great Cornard and supports parents and families struggling in difficult circumstances to meet the practical needs of a new baby or infant up to age five.
We collect a wide range of good second-hand (and some new) goods and provide them free of charge. This may be, for example, a Moses basket with essential clothing, bedding and toiletries, a baby monitor, sterilizer, clothing bundle, toys or a larger item such as a cot, high chair, buggy or stairgate...in fact almost anything a child up to age three would need. Some high-value items are offered on a loan basis.

- Referral and availability notes
We receive referrals from the Sudbury Children's Centre, Midwives, Health Visitors etc. who can access our Request Form (including a detailed check list of baby items) via http://www.abisfootprints.co.uk/howtoreceiveagift/refer. We also accept requests directly from families via Facebook Message (preferably) or by email or phone
When possible we encourage parents to come along and choose the items they need for their child. Alternatively we can select and deliver requested items to them. We normaly acknowledge requests within one day and, unless urgent, aim to deliver within 5 days, or whenever convenient for the family.
We welcome volunteers (currently ten). Those that visit or meet parents and children individually must have a DBS certificate and undergo Safeguarding training under New Life Church's safer recruitment process. Relevant policies and guidelines are in place for all volunteers, including those that help with practical tasks at our premises. A volunteer handbook is available.
