Moat Barn Nursery School is a private nursery. My colleagues and I endeavour to provide a wide range of learning opportunities and materials which I believe takes the best of current thinking on Pre-School learning for children aged between 3 months and 5 years of age. It is a bright safe and welcoming school; a truly excellent environment for Early Years Foundation Stage Learning. We aim to provide a stimulating environment with a good balance of imaginative and interesting activities. We prioritise personal and social development and the building of self-esteem. Language and literacy is emphasised, mathematical concepts such as quantity and scale, simple addition and subtraction and number recognition are covered thoroughly. Children are encouraged to use their creativity; we feel that this is a crucial area in learning.
We have an acre of garden that is partly used for forest schools, sensory area, climbing area, decking, sandpit and barked area.
