The Sudbury Life Saving Club was launched on the back of a local disaster in 1966, when three young brothers drowned during the same tragic incident in the River Stour.
Since its formation the club has gone from strength to strength. Over the years the club has had more than 200 members with many gaining nationally recognised life saving qualifications.
The mission is to help show awareness for this small club and try and get more people involved in this club. We would like to have more people join the club and learn to save peoples lives. "everyones a swimmer, every swimmer is a lifesaver" by Wilbert E. Longfellow
