5th Ipswich Girls Brigade is passionate in raising the volume of hope among girls and young people. We have a variety of action-packed, stretching, fun and safe activities each week to suit any girl at any age, whilst incorporating a spiritual element into our work.
Girls Brigade England and Wales was founded in 1965 when three UK-based Christian organisations for girls amalgamated. Girls Brigade England & Wales specialises in working with churches to provide local community groups for girls. 5th Ipswich is based at Alan Road Methodist Church, Ipswich.

All our leaders are volunteers who are all DBS-checked (formerly CRB-checked) and each group has designated first aiders. All companies meet in safe environments, such as churches and schools, and are covered by insurance. Girls' Brigade England and Wales also has a social media policy leaders adhere to.
