The Blue Cross - Volunteering

Centres and animal hospitals may take young people on work experience, but places are limited. Applications for placements should be made in writing to the relevant adoption centre or animal hospital where you would like to gain experience.
All our shelters/centres and hospitals also involve volunteers in their work. The overall minimum age for volunteers is 14 years, although some centres impose higher restrictions depending on health and safety concerns, the level of staff supervision available and the specific roles available.
If you want to find out more about volunteering with us go to the volunteering pages of our website and complete the enquiry form.
