Yaxley and Mellis Pre-school

Preschool

At Yaxley and Mellis Pre-School our aim is to provide the best possible foundation for your child’s education by offering a wealth of activities and experiences within the early years Curriculum. Our staff are enthusiastic, conscientious and work together as a team for the benefit of the children. They are exceptionally trained and qualified. All staff hold Safeguarding, First Aid and Food & Hygiene qualifications, which are renewed every three years.

The children and their individual needs are our priority and we aim to provide them with a fun and exciting learning experience, within a safe and welcoming environment. Families are welcome to spend time in the setting with their children at our stay and play sessions.

We are a charity organisation, run by a voluntary committee of parent carers, who provide a supportive network to staff and parents. We are located next door to the local primary school and have an excellent working relationship with them through the Pre-School Partnership. We have full access to their playing fields and nature reserve.

In April 2018 we opened our very popular breakfast club and after school provision, which is accessed by both preschool children and primary children from the next door primary school.

We provide children with a balanced snack each morning and afternoon and an optional lunch club enables children to bring their own packed lunch. Breakfast is available for the duration of the breakfast session and a healthy filling snack is provided at the after school club.

In May 2019 we received a rating of GOOD following our Ofsted inspection - see the web-site for details.

If you would like any information regarding the breakfast club or after school club please get in touch on the same number or email address.
